Aug. 10th – Out and About Dinner -- Gullifty's Restaurant
in Squirrel Hill
Meet
and Greet at 6:15: Dinner at 6:30 PM
The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Great desserts! Half Priced Drafts
and Wings are available 5:00-7:00PM for Happy Hour.
The restaurant is located at 1922 Murray Avenue, PA 15217 Squirrel Hill area

Directions:
Follow signs to 376 east (parkway) take the Squirrel Hill/Homestead exit (before
the Squirrel Hill tunnels). Make the first left and continue until you reach the
major intersection, Murray and Forward Avenues. Make a left onto Murray Avenue
and continue for several blocks. Turn left onto Beacon Street and a quick right
into the metered parking lot. The back entrance of the restaurant is located in
the parking lot area. Also, there is metered parking on Murray Avenue.

This film is a romantic comedy starring Meryl Streep, Steve
Martin, and Alec Baldwin that asks "Is love lovelier the second time? Well, it's
complicated." Please join us to watch one of the best films of 2009 that was
nominated for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Comedy, Best Screenplay,
and Best Picture. Those who have seen this film (Rated R) are still laughing.
Let's finish the summer with a light film and lots of laugher -- a true happy
hour or two.

Follow the Parkway East (I-376) to the end and exit at Monroeville onto Route
22. Continue through Murrysville —passing Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Sheetz, and
Hoss’s. At the next stop light after Hoss’s, turn left onto Cline Hollow Road .
Go one (1) block and turn right onto Old William Penn Highway . Continue to the
first stop sign and turn left onto Sunset Circle. Go about 30 yards and bear
left onto Bryer Ridge Court. Count nine (9) mailboxes on the left. Lin’s home is
#2922 Bryer Ridge Court and has a white garage door facing the street.
Sunday, August 15th -- 5th Annual Greek Gala at Linda Coyne's in
Upper St. Clair, 3:00 to 8:00 PM.
Members $5, Guests $10.
You
will enjoy an assortment of starters like humus, spanakopita and dolmades
followed by Moussaka and Horiatiki Salad and a wonderful dessert, Baklava. Soft
drinks and ice tea will be available. BYOB, if you desire. Please bring a
folding chair to help with seating. Greek music will be provided.

Take the Parkway West through the Ft. Pitt Tunnel and exit at Banksville Rd.
US-19south for about 6 miles until passing South Hills Village on
the left. Continue on US-19s about another 3.2 miles. At.the light make a
left at Boyce Rd. which will dead end quickly into Old Washington Rd. Make a
right. Stay on this road for 0.1 miles and it will turn to the left and
become Hays Rd. The second street on the right off of Hays is
Gerrie Drive. Make a right and Linda’s home is the 4th
home on the right 289.
Thursday, Aug. 26th – Out and About at Rocco’s in
Mt. Lebanon
Meet at 5:30PM dinner at 6:00PM.
Rocco's is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to meet. Food is
good, generously-portioned and reasonable.
Pair up with a friend for 2 dinners at $20. Lots to choose from and includes
soup or salad.

… September Preview…
Monday, September 6th Labor Day Picnic at Mt.
Lebanon Park Pavilion #2 at 2:00 PM.
Last
chance for that summer outdoors celebration!
Bring a single friend, lots of room! Let’s put our chairs in a circle for the
appetizer time and get acquainted.
WE are indebted to Shiela McC for acquiring this new picnic venue for us. There
are 10 picnic tables that seat 10 each. If you don't like benches bring your
lawn chair for comfort. Card tables are welcomed if you want to play cards.
Water pump is close by. Two grills this time- we have charcoal and lighter
fluid, but need someone to volunteer to get it going starting about 1:30PM for
eating at 3PM. There is a nice grassy spot for lawn games
.The bathrooms for this Labor Day Picnic are wonderful (Hooray!)
Alcohol is NOT permitted in this park , so DO NOT bring wine,etc. .Lots
of parking.
Setup people meet at 1:00PM, bring some newspaper for the tables, we will have
tablecloths.

Guest fee:
$5.00.
Members get in FREE with a dish to serve 8 people: (2:00PM:appetizer be there early; 3PM: beans, salads, fruit, vegetables dishes to go with AUP’s beef hotdogs; or 4PM: desserts If left over, we will freeze for the Sept. 13th FMH meeting of AUP).. After dessert the games begin. There will be bocci, scrabble, bridge, bring your favorite game if not mentioned...
Directions: Off Cedar Blvd in Mt. Lebanon, 15228 turn in at the Tennis Courts. If parking is full at the first Parking Lot note the Pavilion II up the hill at the back of this lot then continue up the hill to the Right of the Pavilion II to a second Parking Lot.
